Based on the beach-fronted Bay Campus, the School of Mathematics and Computer Science is housed in the £32.5 million Computational Foundry.

Mathematics students can benefit from specialised resources for computational modelling and statistical analysis, whilst Computer Science students have access to specialised laboratories like the Vision and Biometric Lab, Maker Lab, Theory Lab, Cyber Security/Networking Lab, User Lab, and Visualisation Suite. The fully networked laboratories support both Windows and Linux operating systems, offering a diverse range of software, from programming languages like Java, C#, and the .NET framework to C, C++, Haskell, and Prolog. All software is open source, freely available, or provided. To ensure a consistently high standard, the laboratories undergo regular upgrades, ensuring that equipment is never more than three years old, and rarely more than two.
