A great place to live and study
Portsmouth is a city by the sea that's open to the world. It’s flat and easy to get around – from historic ships to boutiques and beaches. Student rents are some of the most affordable in the region: 57% less than London and 37% less than Brighton (Numbeo, October 2025).
After a hard day hitting the books, it’s important to give yourself a break. Here, it’s easy to reset and revive. At the heart of a compact city centre campus, we’re nestled among shops and cafes, near a theatre and concert hall.
On campus, Ravelin Sports Centre is one of the UK’s most sustainable sports centres, with the latest fitness tech and affordable memberships. It offers an 8 lane, 25 metre swimming pool, 175 station fitness suite, 8 court sports hall, multi-purpose studios, squash courts, climbing wall and bouldering.
Within a 10 minute walk from campus, you’ll find miles of beaches and green spaces. Two original Victorian piers offer amazing views, amusement arcades and rides. Spinnaker Tower gives you stunning views of the city and the Solent. Gunwharf Quays is a destination designer outlet with bars, restaurants, cinema and bowling alley. Naval history comes to life at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. And with several major music, theatre and comedy venues, there’s always entertainment on tap.
