There are four different faculties within the University: Business and Law, Arts and Humanities, Health and Education, and Science and Engineering, with more than 150 postgraduate taught courses on offer, alongside our Doctoral College, designed to support postgraduate research students to thrive.

Scholarships, fees and funding 

A range of faculty and subject-specific scholarships are available, as well as specific scholarships for international students. Visit our website for details of current scholarships. 

The funding available for postgraduate study is different depending on whether you normally live in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, or Scotland. 

If you’re studying a masters course, and live in England, you may be able to get a loan to help you with the cost of your tuition fees and living expenses. The loan is not income assessed and is available for students studying an eligible masters course. For up-to-date information, please visit the GOV.UK website.

Manchester Met offers a wide range of specialist services to help you achieve your very best. Postgraduate students at Manchester Met can benefit from: 

  • Manchester Met offers a whole range of specialist services to help you achieve your very best. Our Study Skills team is accessible online or on-campus, providing short courses, group workshops, writing feedback, and one-to-one appointments. Whether you need assistance with academic writing, numeracy, or developing new study techniques, we're here to support your academic journey. 
  • The Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing Service offer tailored support through one-to-one appointments, group workshops covering topics such as relaxation, stress management, and building confidence, and access to our 24/7 student support helpline.  
  • Manchester Met Sport provides fitness support through our free Active Campus Programme and Mcr Met Moves app, where you can earn rewards for staying active.  
  • Our Chaplaincy team offers pastoral care and tranquil spaces for prayer or reflection, welcoming individuals of all faiths or non-faith backgrounds.  
  • The Disability Service ensures that students facing challenges due to disability, health conditions, or specific learning difficulties receive the support they need. They offer guidance on available resources within the University and from external agencies. If you have any support needs, we recommend getting in touch before your course begins to get the best possible support. 
  • For international students, the Language Centre offers free British Council-accredited intensive courses in academic English to support your studies.
